Tena koutou katoa, greetings to you one and all
My name is Alisa Lasi, the Parish Superintendent of Hamilton East Methodist Parish. I was born in Gisborne to Samoan Parents and am married to a Samoan migrant, my “manamea”, Tau.

What a privilege to be part of an all-age, multicultural parish, in the city of Hamilton.

We are a friendly welcoming community here at Wesley Church, Fairfield and St Johns in Hamilton East. We enjoy music, we love fun, we love our children our youth, each other and we love you.

At the core of all we do is the unending love of Christ, which empowers us to get up and live life to the full, as individuals, families, church and community. Just as Christ cares for us, we care for all God’s creation, including you.

Our ministries are varied and expanding. Fully aware of the changing times we acknowledge the power of prayer as a cornerstone. Our vision is to support and join with you and others in the work that our God is already doing in the City of Hamilton and beyond.

We would like to be part of your lives and vice versa we welcome you to visit us when you can.

Come in, sit down and have a break! I leave you with a quote by John Wesley the founder of the Methodist Church
